What is School Snack Box?

School Snack Box is a subscription-based snack delivery service to help parents organise school lunchboxes. Each month we curate our snack boxes based on dietician approved snacks.

As a parent, finding suitable and healthy options is often hard work and time consuming. We all want what’s best for our kids, and sometimes checking product food labels for hidden nasties can be frustrating.

Do I need to subscribe?

You need to subscribe to one of our monthly snack box subscriptions. We deliver and curate the boxes monthly.

How can I change my account details? i.e. update my payment details or postal address

To change any details, please log into the My Account area on our website. Please do not provide any credit card details via email.

How much does it cost?

You can see all our prices for our different boxes on our Pricing page. Or you can contact us at info@schoolsnackbox.com.au if you have any further questions or requests.

Why can’t I see what's in the box?

The School Snack Box concept is built on our snack boxes being about discovery. The team carefully curate the monthly snack boxes for you. If you have specific dietary requirements, we can cater for nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free and Vegan diets.

We found that kids are far more likely to try the contents of the box if they have a hand in unboxing.

What about allergies or special requirements?

You can choose if you want nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free snacks during the ordering process. We also cater for a Vegan diet.

Please be aware we don’t manufacture the snacks, so in regards to ingredients and allergens we can only go by what the manufacturers state on their websites and snack packaging. If you have any questions, please feel free to use the form on this page to contact us.

Can I check the snack ingredients?

Although our boxes are about discovery, we understand this might not work for some families. Some kids may be allergic to other ingredients. Feel free to contact us via the form on this page, we’re happy to answer any questions or provide you links to the products we have included.

Please be aware we don’t manufacture the snacks, so in regards to ingredients and allergens we can only go by what the manufacturers state on their websites and snack packaging. If you have any questions, please feel free to use the form on this page to contact us.

Do you offer a sample/trial box?

Unfortunately we do not offer a sample/trial box. We are a subscription-box service, and only order our products after the 15th of every month based on the number of boxes that have been ordered. This helps us minimise wastage and guarantees product freshness (where possible).

You can however sign up for the subscription and cancel after you have been billed – the 15th of every month. We have no lock-in contracts, so you can leave at any time.

Do you have a extra-large box for bigger families?

Currently no, but we are looking at introducing this in the near future. You can however order multiple snack boxes.

One of the products is damaged or missing, can I get it replaced?

Please contact us at info@schoolsnackbox.com.au if anything within your box has been damaged or is missing. We will investigate the issue and will review your case to decide what sort of replacement is appropriate. Please ensure that you contact us within two weeks from the date your box has been shipped as we are only able to process replacement requests within this time.

Will the products/snacks be guaranteed to be as advertised?

Unfortunately, time-to-time products do become unavailable due to re-branding, supplier shortage, size/weight changes, recalls and closure of product lines. We will always attempt to replace with the closest alternative products/brands in our boxes.

Does the billing get charged weekly or monthly?

The billing happens on the 15th of every month. The billing happens once a month. If you ordered your first box on or after the 15th, you’ll be billed the following 15th.

Your total may indicate $0 when you first order, however on the 15th of every month you will be billed for however many snacks you’ve ordered. The total amount is always listed at checkout. You can also access this information via My Account or by checking your email inbox for the initial order email.

How often do you ship?

All subscription Snack Boxes are shipped on the 1-5 day of each month – only after you have been billed.

All subsequent boxes are shipped one month apart from your initial shipment date.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately right now we only ship to Australian homes and workplaces.

Do you ship to every state within Australia?

Yes we ship to all states – ACT, NSW, NT, SA, QLD, TAS, VIC, WA. We ship to country areas at no extra charge.

When will my box arrive?

After the box ship date your box will arrive within approximately 7 business days later.

What if I accidentally put the wrong address?

Unfortunately if you have put the wrong details and the boxes have been shipped there is nothing we can do to get your box to you. We advise you carefully check over your order and make sure all details are correct.

If you have ordered and it is still before the allocated ship date of the boxes, please contact us ASAP at info@schoolsnackbox.com.au And we will do our best to update your details and have your box shipped correctly.

What is your Refund Policy?

School Snack Box does not offer refunds for any boxes and will not accept returned boxes. This includes no partial refunds for a prepaid year subscription. If there are extreme circumstances as to why the box will need to be refunded, School Snack Box will review your case at its discretion.

What is your policy on plastics used to package the snacks?

We do not manufacturer the snacks. We source them from multiple suppliers. We would love to turn around to the manufacturers in the future and have a say on the use of plastics. We need to grow in size before we get there.

According to the ABC’s War on Waste: All “scrunchable” plastic including shopping bags, plastic food packaging, fruit netting and dry cleaning bags can be recycled although most often not via your home recycle bins. There are only a handful of councils, mainly in regional towns, which will accept these soft plastics.

The best method is to bundle all your plastic bags into one bag and take it to a REDcycle bin located in most metro and large regional supermarkets.

These plastics are then recycled into plastic school furniture.

Do you still send the boxes in the school holidays?

Yes we do! Kids don’t stop eating during the holidays, in fact they eat more. 🙂

Do you send the boxes in December?

Yes we do! Although each state is different most students are still at school in December. December is the usually the busiest time of year – a time of year parent’s need to rely on School Snack Box the most.
